‘We’ve wasted four years’: Gary Hardgrave’s thoughts on the lead up to the 2032 Olympics

The official countdown for the Olympics is underway after the Queensland state government was awarded the 2032 Olympic Games four years early. 

However, 4BC Drive host Gary Hardgrave says the time has been wasted and called out the Crisafulli government for fixating on venues.

He’s also pointed out that the state government needs to be careful with the International Olympic Committee.

“We’ve earned the right to hold the game, but it’s balanced by the responsibility of meeting the expectations of a very culturally, religiously diverse International Olympic Committee, so the potential for overreach and mission creep from any of the hangers-on around the IOC is real,” he said
