‘We’re not asking for the world’: Brisbane mum’s fight for NDIS support for daughter

Gary Hardgrave

A 4BC Drive listener reached out to the team after a battle to get NDIS support for her injured daughter.

Robyn’s daughter, Katrina, was involved in a car crash in 2015 that left her with permanent injuries. However, she hasn’t received any support from the NDIS.

Robyn told Gary Hardgrave on 4BC Drive, “It took seven years before she got compensated. So that was only three years ago.”

“In between that, we applied…for the NDIS, because her medical reports were too old. They said, you’ll have to put in a new application, but she will need to go back and see specialists once again to get up-to-date reports.”

“We’re not asking for the world. We just want a bit of support for Katrina,” Robyn continued.
