A Brisbane brewery has earnt the title of Australia’s best beer at the Royal Queensland Awards Beer Competition. 

Slipstream Brewing Company in Yeerongpilly claimed the Grand Champion Beer and The Star Entertainment Group Best Queensland Beer titles for the first time with their Classic Saison.

Head Brewer at Slipstream Brewing Company, Gavin Croft, told Sofie Formica on 4BC Afternoons, “We’re in party mode now.”

“We’ve got a team that’s very focused on quality and, it’s a good way to benchmark what you’re doing against the rest of the state and the rest of the country, so yeah, great to be rewarded for that,” Mr Croft said.
