‘We need more police’: Police Association President calls for significant investment as youth crime rate falls

Queensland Police Association President Shane Prior has called for more police and streamlining of processes so officers can respond to situations faster.

His comments come after new data revealed cases against children had fallen, but he cautioned more data over a longer period of time was needed.

“What’s clear is we need to invest significantly in police, retaining police, retaining the experienced men and women that are on the front line everyday,” he told Gary Hardgrave.
