Warnings Brisbane River at ecological tipping point

There are warnings the Brisbane River is at an ecological tipping point brought on by mounting population pressures.

Nitrogen and phosphorus levels in the river have increased for the first time since the early 1980s when there were major investments made in water treatment.

Dr Paul Maxwell is the principal river scientist with Healthy Land and Water and he tells Mark it is not all doom and gloom.
