David Berthon

Volvo Car Australia finished 2021 on a high with the biggest sales year in its history, year on year sales growing by 16.5 per cent. The Swedish brand achieved the result in a luxury market that only grew by 2.4 percent overall. Volvo sales success was almost entirely due to the popularity of its SUV models, the XC40, XC60 and XC90, now representing 96.3 per cent of its business.

The company selling just 330 passenger cars out of a total sales tally of 9028 . Volvo Car Australia MD, Stephen Connor, is confident the company will achieve even greater sales numbers this year having secured minimum production growth from the factory of 20 percent.
