Trump’s tariffs traumatising tourism
The introduction of Trump’s tariffs has been blamed for a downturn in travel to the United States.
Flight Centre Managing Director, Graham ‘Scroo’ Turner told Bill McDonald on 4BC Mornings, “The overall numbers of people travelling overseas are significantly up, but they’re down about 40% into the States, and it just means that people on those sort of trips are tending to avoid the States.”
“I think people get used to the somewhat changed circumstances of travelling to the States fairly quickly, but it’s still going to be a couple of months where you know there’s going to be some uncertainty and people are worried,” Mr Turner continued.
