The Big Debate: Jim Chalmers labels Coalition’s nuclear claims as ‘rubbish’

One of the key issues of the upcoming federal election is whether or not Australians want nuclear reactors as part of the energy mix.

Anthony Albanese is going full steam ahead with his renewables plan while Peter Dutton is a firm believer in nuclear power.

Federal Treasurer Jim Chalmers told Shane Doherty on 4BC Summer Drive, “If there’s one thing I can really leave them with is that the economics of it in Australia mean that if you vote for nuclear power, you are voting for higher electricity bills.”
