Food Standards Australia New Zealand has delivered its report into the contamination crisis that crippled the nation’s strawberry industry late last year.

A 50 year old farm supervisor is now before the courts facing six counts of food tampering, including inserting needles in the fruit.

Her alleged actions triggered hundreds of copycats.

The FSANZ Report makes seven recommendations to improve processes and communication but CEO Mark Booth tells Mark if someone wants to cause menace there’s no guaranteed way to stop them.
