A protest has been planned for Friday morning over the continued closure of pedestrian lanes of the Story Bridge.

Local Kathryn Good told 4BC Drive they’re hoping to turn one of the dedicated car lanes into a lane for pedestrians and cyclists, and defended the decision to protest during peak time on a Friday.

“We recognise there will be inconvenience … but the point of a protest is to point out thousands of people have had their travel delayed … and thousands of people have had their safety put at risk,” she said.
