Special taskforce to investigate dodgy Qld builders
A special taskforce headed by a retired Supreme Court judge will investigate white collar crime in Queensland’s building industry, especially cases of subcontractors being ripped off.
Since 2013 there have been 50 construction industry insolvencies in the state that left subbies more than $500 million out of pocket.
The establishment of the taskforce has been welcomed by Subbies United which has been demanding action for years and spokesman John Goddard tells Mark he hears from subcontractors forced out the back door every week.
