Shot in the face and survived

What was supposed to be a routine call out turned into every police officer’s worst nightmare.

On May 1, 2000 Constable Daryl Elliott Green and two colleagues were ambushed in a Chermside Street, where he was shot twice in the face and the shoulder.

But surviving was just the beginning.

Now a Lifeline ambassador, Daryl tells Ben about that harrowing night and how his ordeal has helped others.
