Roby Curtis continues 300km journey to walk in solidarity with rough sleepers

Together with a group, Roby Curtis, the Director of Emmanuel City Mission, is undertaking a long journey to help rough sleepers.

He’s undertaking the pilgrimage from Brisbane to Cherbourg, a 300km journey over 7 days to walk in solidarity with those experiencing homelessness and to raise money for the Mission.

Roby Curtis told Sofie Formica on 4BC Afternoons, “We’ve got a mix of visitors, people who have come through our front door with need, who have utilised the facilities, the people, the relationships to really find a way through their struggle and their hardship.”

“We have a spray of our volunteers… we have a few wild cards and a few of our supporters from Victoria.”

“It’s been a real great mix of community, and gosh, it’s been a powerful community along the way.”
