Queensland Rail is yet to appoint a single ‘outsider’ to fill train driver vacancies, despite looking externally since last September.

External recruitment was a key recommendation from the Strachan Report in the 2016 Rail Fail, but is yet to yield any dividend.

The Transport Department, Queensland Rail, and the Unions were ducking for cover and were unavailable for comment.
