‘Quick and easy’ cancer test developed at UQ

Getting tested for cancer often requires complicated lab-based equipment but a team at Queensland University has developed a test that may only require a simple blood test.

The test doesn’t look for specific cancers but can alert people to the fact they have a cancer of some kind.

UQ research fellow Dr Abu Sina explains that the breakthrough is thanks to what’s called ‘unique nano-scaled DNA signature’.
