Should there be a freeze on Public Servants Wages?

Enjoying a 2.5% increase every year for the last three years, It’s the single biggest expense in the State Budget, accounting for almost 40% of total expenditure.

With Queensland’s Private Sector Wages only growing by 1.9% last year, The Chamber of Commerce & Industry Queensland is calling on the government to exercise some restraint when it comes to public sector wages.

But what about Frontline Services like Police, Firefighters, Teachers, Nurses & Paramedics?
