QLD Opposition suggests ‘distinct possibility’ of Story Bridge toll after surprise law changes

The State Opposition alleges that amendments made yesterday to the Transport Infrastructure Act will make it easier to slap motorists with higher tolls.

Council Opposition leader Jared Cassidy told Bill McDonald on 4BC Mornings, “What [the amendments] essentially do is make it easier for the minister to increase tolls on existing toll roads.”

“But also [it says they’re improving the effectiveness and efficiency in declaring tolls, so putting new tolls on.”
