A two year trial of real time petrol price monitoring has finally begun in Queensland.

Service stations will now have to update prices within half an hour of any change with the information made available through a range of petrol price websites and mobile apps.

Lucinda Ross from the RACQ tells Mark it will then be up to motorists to flex their consumer muscles to keep a lid on prices.
