Brisbane photographer Mick Porter works in IT to pay the bills but it’s his talent behind the lens that has earned awards as one of Australia’s finest photographers.

Mick has been named by the Australian Institute of Professional Photography as its 2019 Documentary Photographer of the Year and also given him the award for the Photographic Book of the Year.

Mick began doing wedding photography in 2013 as a side hustle but he tells Mark it’s his passion for travel and different cultures that drives his art.
