Millions promised to upgrade a tired Ballymore

Ballymore may be the home of rugby union in Queensland but its glory days are long behind it.

The federal election campaign may yet be Ballymore’s saviour with Labor promising a $15 million contribution to a proposed $35 million redevelopment of the complex.

Queensland Rugby is now looking to the government to match Labor’s commitment and QRU spokesman Phil Pope tells Mark it’s hoped the Coalition will finally deliver on a promise once made by John Howard.
