For most people losing their electricity as a result of Sunday’s wild storm was a major inconvenience. For some other it was far worse than that.

Tanya Wilkinson has a 7 year old paraplegic daughter who relies on a ventilator. When the power went out the machine went down.

Tanya tells Ben it was the generosity of the local community that has seen them through a potentially life threatening outage.
