A delegation from the Logan Council is in Canberra lobbying politicians about plans to trail drug testing of welfare recipients.

Logan is one of three locations where people would be randomly tested and could lose their welfare.

Acting Mayor Cherie Dalley tells Ben the council is largely resigned to the trial going ahead but they want changes.
