Living proof a healthy body leads to a healthy mind

It’s Brain Awareness Week and the message this year is that keeping both the mind and body active will improve quality of life.

Proof of that maxim is embodied by 86 year old Doreen Wilson who has been the driving force behind Fitter for Life’s seniors’ gymnastics program.

Doreen teaches five classes a week and tells Mark that focusing on improving mobility, strength, balance and coordination can help older people to maintain their independence for longer.
