It’s becoming harder and harder for low income earners and the young to get a foot on the property ladder.

A new report from the Grattan Institute shows the percentage of people owning a home across almost all age brackets and most income brackets is in serious decline.

The report’s co-author Brendan Coates tells Ben that if interest rates were to increase 2% from their historic lows we could see a home owning catastrophe.
