Holden’s ZB Commodore around the corner

This week I drove the new fully-imported ZB Commodore at Holden’s proving ground at Lang Lang in Victoria on a variety of surfaces. My drive impressions are embargoed until February 15 – the fifth generation Commodore goes on sale later this month – I’ve covered the launch of each one – the VB, VN, VT and VE and now the fully imported ZB. This week was my sixth visit to Holden’s proving ground, thankfully kept by General Motors and the subject of a current 13 million dollar upgrade – a wonderful facility where imported product will now be further honed to suit our road conditions – road conditions which in rural areas are at times challenging. Some die-hard Holden fans have queried whether a fully imported front drive and all-wheel- drive Commodore could live up to the local product but this week Holden’s MD Mark Bernard threw out a challenge – as he said “ I challenge our established customers to drive the car and then form an opinion” I’m David Berthon
