On the show today: Gardening Hour sees Olympia and Paul Plant discuss growing Paw Paw plants, uneven fruiting on lime trees and all the benefits of gardening in the rain! Paul also busts social media myths including if you can grow bananas from seeds. PLUS Paul introduces his plant of the week: the forgiving Ctenanthe Setosa or ‘Grey Star’ which is a favourite for landscapers all over.

In the second hour; today is Record Store Day! Olympia chats with Rocking Horse Records Store owner Warwick Vere about the significance of today for local independent record stores and tells us why many people are already lining up since the early hours of this morning to get their hands on limited edition vinyl records. Olympia also speaks with Guide Dogs QLD’s John Officier ahead of International Guide Dog Day this week. John talks about the important role guide dogs play in the lives of people with low vision or blindness and some of the obstacles they still face when trying to access venues or rideshare services in the community. Finally, Director of Food and Beverage at Peppers Noosa Resort Andrew Wilcox calls in to talk about their preparations for this year’s Noose Eat & Drink Festival, including their popular long lunch event that has been going for over a decade.
