A rare treat for skygazers across southeast Queensland at the weekend with three large meteors entering the atmosphere and putting on a light show.

What made it particularly special is that the meteors were not part of a meteor shower.

Julie Straayer from the South East Queensland Astronomical society was lucky to witness the first and explains to Mark that it was probably pretty large.
