Farmers vindicated after scathing Senate inquiry into Inland Rail

Farmers are feeling vindicated after a Senate inquiry released a scathing report into the government’s management of the Inland Rail Project.

It makes 26 recommendations to fix failures of the 17-hundred kilometre rail project linking Melbourne to Brisbane in less than 24 hours.

The report highlights the lack of consultation with landholders, and issues with flood plain modelling.

The Federal Coalition is already rejecting several recommendations.
