Encouraging signs for Brisbane’s koalas

A new survey of bushland bought by the Brisbane City Council especially for koala habitat has shown some very encouraging signs.

Of the 20 sites examined 17 showed evidence of koala activity, 10 of which showed a “significant amount”.

Acting Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner tells Mark there are plans to buy another 250 hectares to entrench the city’s reputation as the koala capital of Australia.
