Embarrassing end to M1 Gridlock

It’s been as frustrating as being stuck on the M1, but now it seems the Palaszczuk Government will have to backflip on its funding stance.

It comes after Federal Labor promised to match the Turnbull Government’s 50-50 funding of the Upgrade, leaving it at odds with their Queensland Counterparts who’ve argued for three years it should be an 80-20 Split.

Ben asks Shadow Infrastructure Minister, Anthony Albanese, if that call has been made and how awkward it was after pledging a $3.24b package to fix the M1 and help fund the Cross River Rail.
