#dosomething bystander campaign

An extra 24 police officers will be assigned to work as domestic & family violence coordinators across the state, lifting the total number to 54 here in Queensland.

It comes off the back of the Palaszczuk Government’s commitment to allocate an extra $133 million from next Month’s Budget into DV — Including building 3 new Women’s shelters on the Northern Gold Coast, in the Caboolture region, and out at Roma.

May is Domestic & Family Violence Month, and Brisbane Media have banded together to talk about and amplify #DOSOMETHING campaign.

It isn’t centred around victims & perpetrators, but it’s about you – The Bystander.

Violence “Research & Prevention” program director Professor Paul Mazerolle from Griffith University shares with Ben how you can make a difference and stop being a bystander.
