Queensland fans won’t be able to enjoy their favourite XXXX beer at this year’s State of Origin series.

Although both the Maroons and NSW are sponsored by company, Lion, rival brewery Carlton United has won the rights to supply beer at the Melbourne and Brisbane matches.

Queensland Rugby League Chairman, Bruce Hatcher tells Ben they do have a long standing relationship with XXXX but due to commercial arrangements there isn’t much that can be done.
