Supermarket giants Coles and Aldi have finally succumbed to public pressure and followed Woolworths’ lead by ending $1-a-litre milk.

Dairy farmers have been battling against the cut price milk since it was first introduced in 2011.

The decision by Coles and Aldi has been welcomed by the Queensland Dairyfarmers Organisation and president Brian Tessman tells Mark it will stem the bleeding but the wounds in the industry run deep.
