Ciggie breaks are costing the economy billions

Researchers at Monash University have calculated that the indirect costs of smoking are having a serious effect on our economy.

They have found things like smoke breaks and absenteeism have a bigger impact on our GDP than the direct costs of smoking related healthcare.

Dan Petrie from the small business lobby group the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland tells Mark smokers are a real burden for business.
