The Brisbane Men’s Shed forced to move because of council red tape

Brisbane’s Forest Lake men’s shed is being forced to move out their suburb.

Peter, a member of the men’s shed says a new development has forced them out because they don’t fit under the council’s definition of “recreation”.

“As you get older, you’ve got to throw the keys on the table and it means you’re relying on public transport … it’s not the best going from Forrest Lake down to Durack, so we’re going to lose a few members,” He told Peter Fegan.
