Queensland allows U-Turns at a select number of signalised and sign posted intersections but it is illegal at the vast majority.

That’s apparently proving too confusing for some motorists to such an extent that the Brisbane City Council is about to trial six high-visibility No U-Turn signs with the simplified message.

Mark is at a loss to understand why drivers are allowed to do U-Turns at intersections at all, but the RACQ’s Head of Safety Policy Steve Spalding says in some cases it’s a necessary evil.
