Hundreds of businesses have gathered for a briefing on the contracts available as part of the $944-million Brisbane Metro project.

The project is now in the Expression of Interest phase to bid for things such as a new underground station at the Cultural Centre precinct, a new tunnel beneath Adelaide Street, and a fleet of 60 high-capacity Metro Vehicles.

Federal Urban Infrastructure Minister Paul Fletcher tells Mark says interest is coming from around Australia and the world.
