Australian racing in shock at the Darren Weir raid

Leading trainer Darren Weir and two staff have been released without charge after a series of co-ordinated dawn raids on his stables in Ballarat and Warrnambool.

Victorian Police says the raids were part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of conduct that corrupts or would corrupt a betting outcome.

The host of Channel 7’s racing coverage Jason Richardson tells Mark the raids have sent shockwaves right through the industry.
