Aussie team has the answers for the physics olympics
A seven member team from the University of Queensland is preparing to travel to Switzerland next month to represent Australia at the International Physicists’ Tournament, the physics olympics.
For the last eight months they’ve been working on the answers to 17 mind bending problems which they will have to present to a panel of international judges.
Team leader Andrew Penton from UQ’s Physics Club tells Mark that it is like debating, but with a whole lot of maths thrown in.
