‘At what cost’: Queensland Government to add more pokies in regional communities

Today, the Queensland Attorney-General announced more pokie machines needed in regional communities. 

This strategy is a pre-election promise to ensure that community clubs and pubs can continue operating in rural communities.

Sofie Formica said on 4BC Afternoons, “I can understand that smaller, struggling clubs and pubs will welcome the extra machines, the question remains: at what cost?”
