Are birds louder, or are you listening more?

The coronavirus has upended our way of life with more and more people forced to stay home due to extended lockdowns leading to a slowdown in human activity – a period scientists are calling the ‘anthropause’.

But it’s also having an impact on our wildlife…in particular birds, with many people commenting they seem louder or there’s more of them.

John Stanley talks with Dr Grainne Cleary to find out exactly what’s going on.
