A new study has found the overwhelming majority of women are only too happy to look after their grandchildren.

The Queensland University and University of Newcastle study found 60% of grandmothers in their mid 60s and 12% in their late 80s provide regular, unpaid childcare for their grandchildren.

Study deputy director Assoc Prof Leigh Tooth tells Mark there actually appear to be health benefits in caring for the littlies.
