On Friday December 2, Ben Fordham broadcast live from the Norths Leagues Club in support of the NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards, an annual program run by The Centre for Volunteering to recognise the outstanding work of volunteers in every region across NSW.

More than 2.3 million people in NSW volunteer every year. Nationally 5.8 million people volunteer each year. Putting that into perspective, the work performed by these volunteers exceeds over 743 million hours!

Ben Fordham had a chance to speak to some of the winners and find out all about the incredible things they have done for our country so far.
