Infectious diseases experts have suggested Queenslanders work from home where possible as transmission increases, as the state enters a pre-Christmas COVID-19 peak.

But Neil Breen says people have moved on from directives and lockdowns, but there was still an important message to tell Queenslanders, on vaccinations and booster rates.

“Queensland is way behind,” he said.

“65 per cent of eligible Queenslanders have had three jabs, we are the worst state by 20 per cent.

“We are miles behind.”
