Man dies in unit fire at Woody Point
A man has died following a fire at a unit north of Brisbane.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Oxley Avenue at Woody Point, near Redcliffe, at around 6.30 this morning.
Firefighters quickly brought the flames under control and extinguished the fire by 7.15am.
Crews found a man’s body inside the burnt-out unit.
UPDATE: Sadly police can confirm that a man has been located deceased inside a unit. Investigations into the cause of the fire are continuing.

Two others were assessed by paramedics but weren’t taken to hospital.
Police have established a crime scene and are working to determine what caused the blaze.
