The man who is accused of killing Toyah Cordingley on a beach back in 2018 will front court in Cairns.

Rajwinder Singh, 38, was formally charged yesterday with one count of murder following a four-year man hunt.

He was extradited from India last week.

Toyah’s father found her body on Wangetti Beach, north of Cairns, after she was reported missing.

9 News journalist Meg Sydes says she understands Toyah’s family want to attend the court hearing.

“It will be a brief appearance,” she said on 4BC Breakfast.

Mr Singh has denied any involvement in her death.
