A number of US B-2 stealth bombers have been flying around Brisbane, spotted in the skies by surprised 4BC listeners.

They flew over Ipswich and to the Amberley RAAF air base.

Caller John said it was quite a sight.

“I was out the front, just finished mowing the lawn … that’s when I heard the plane, and I looked towards Ipswich itself, and here’s the stealth bomber about 200 metres from my house,” he told Neil Breen.

“Magnificent sight!”

Breenie’s filthy he didn’t to see them!

Cheryl from Karana Downs says it was unusual.

“It was noisy, I heard it!”

They’re reportedly in the region to conduct training exercises.
