The Bruce Highway is banked up for kilometres as holiday-makers head home for the end of the school holidays.

Traffic reporter Rhys Messenger says there’s long delays.

“There’s heavy delays on the Bruce Highway southbound coming back from the Sunshine Coast, they start at the Glass House Mountains which is just before Johnston Road, and they extend to Caboolture.”

He said it’s about 26 kilometres of crawling traffic, and it started early this morning.
