Latest: Notorious Indooroopilly roundabout will be ‘easier to navigate’ soon

It’s hoped some of the traffic congestion will in the coming days ease as the $180 million upgrade continue at the infamous Indooroopilly roundabout.
The construction is worth about $180 million, will last until 2024 and is designed to ease congestion in in Moggill Road and Coonan Street in the long run.
Locals have been complaining about lengthy delays in peak times as notorious roundabout and intersection gets a much-needed upgrade.
Enoggera councillor Andrew Wines, and the council’s civic cabinet chair for the infrastructure committee, said the intersection is “awkward and awful”.
He appreciated the roadworks had made it difficult for motorists.
“But this change that is coming this weekend is going to make it a lot cleaner and clearer about how the thing goes,” he told Neil Breen on Brisbane Live.
“We are going to have a t-intersection over Moggill Road with Coonan Street side, that’s going to maintain flow through there.”
He said he was very sympathetic to nearby locals, with most of the work going on overnight.
