Researchers are calling for Queenslanders to take part in a landmark study examining different responses to COVID-19 vaccines.

The statewide study is open to people who have received two more doses, with the last dose one to three months ago.

The study wants to investigate the different immune responses to the vaccines.

Director of QoVAX, Metro North’s Health Professor Janet Davies says they want people from the regions to take part too, to help understand the varied responses to COVID-19 and vaccines.

“It’s a really important study because it allows us to understand at an individual level what are the factors that influence our immune system or how our body responds to the vaccine, and how that response to the vaccine protects us from getting severe outcomes of COVID,” she told Sofie Formica.
